scholarship applications open

CIRCAC is proud to offer a pair of $2,500 scholarships again this year. Our scholarship program was launched in 2015 in part to mark our 25th anniversary but, also to remember former Executive Director James Carter and longtime volunteer Captain Barry Eldridge. The scholarships also reflect the areas where CIRCAC has focused much of its work over the years.

The James Carter Memorial Scholarship for Environmental Sciences is for students pursuing educational opportunities in areas of science and research; the Captain Barry Eldridge Memorial Scholarship for Maritime Studies is geared toward students pursuing opportunities in the maritime trades.

Providing these scholarships is a way for CIRCAC to ensure that future generations of Cook Inlet and Kodiak area residents will be engaged in the environmental integrity of Cook Inlet and the safety of the industries that do business here.
