Scholarship applications now open

CIRCAC is now accepting applications from qualified Cook Inlet students for our next round of $2,500 scholarships offerings. Since 2014, CIRCAC has awarded 12 deserving students scholarships to further their careers in environmental sciences or maritime and technical studies.

The CIRCAC/James Carter Memorial Scholarship is offered for Environmental Sciences, in honor of the late James Carter and in recognition of his dedicated service as Executive Director of the CIRCAC Board of Directors.

The CIRCAC/Captain Barry Eldridge Memorial Scholarship is offered for Maritime Studies. Until his death in October 2012, Capt. Richard “Barry” Eldridge was an integral part of the CIRCAC family. He served as a valued public member of the Prevention, Response, Operations and Safety (PROPS) committee for 17 years.

The deadline to apply is March 25, 2021. Awards are announced in early April.
