Cook Inlet RCAC focused on Kodiak for the final round of this project, building on the success of the Cook Inlet Marine Firefighting project, which was approved by the Captain of the Port and recommended for inclusion into the Cook Inlet Subarea plan as Annex F.
A workgroup gathered inventory on regional capabilities, identified areas for improvement, developed a means to address gaps and, finally, developed a comprehensive Marine Firefighting Plan for Kodiak. The plan has since been included in the Kodiak Subarea Contingency Plan.
The workgroup process was highly successful, with meetings of members from industry, agencies and the public to develop this tool. To view a copy, use this link: Kodiak Marine Firefighting Manual.
