Council continues to meet remotely

CIRCAC’s August meeting had been scheduled for Seldovia. Prioritizing the health and safety of our members, staff and invited presenters meant holding the meeting via video conference.

Despite this being our first virtual meeting, nearly everyone on the council was able to participate and hear presentations from Graham Wood of the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation, Tim Robertson from Nuka Research, Jeff Lisobbee from Harvest Alaska, Vanessa Hughes from Hilcorp and CIRCAC staff.

Plans for CIRCAC’s December meeting are still being developed. Traditionally, this meeting has been held in Anchorage. And while we very much look forward to meeting again in person as soon as possible, safety and public health will be our first consideration as we determine the best way to gather our members to conduct the business of the council.
