We are pleased to announce winners of our 2024 Scholarship Program.

Nora McBride, who will graduate in May from Dimond High School in Anchorage, will receive the James Carter Memorial Scholarship for Environmental Sciences.

Carter Lemons, who will graduate from Ninilchik in May, will receive the Capt. Barry Eldridge Memorial Scholarship for Maritime Studies. Lemons will be attending Universal Technical Institute in Florida for its Marine Mechanic Program.

McBride plans to attend the University of California Davis and pursue a degree in Environmental Science. The CIRCAC Memorial Scholarship program was established in 2015 to acknowledge the many contributions of James Carter, who served as CIRCAC’s Executive Director, and Capt. Barry Eldridge, a longtime member of the Prevention, Response, Operations, and Safety (PROPS) Committee.
